Cincinnati Bengals traveled to Pittsburgh to play in their second matchup. Week 1 seems like a lifetime ago with where the Bengals are now. Steelers are now playing their rookie QB Kenny Pickett. Bengals were in need of a divisional win as they were 0-3. Steelers were looking for a win to try to stay in the AFC North hunt.

Burrow and the Bengals knew this would be a tough game in cold weather (19 degrees). The first quarter went as expected in this matchup as both teams felt one another out. Bengals got a 10 -3 lead to end the first quarter. Steelers came out in the second quarter and mustard up 17 points with the final 3 points coming off a turnover and being able to kick a field goal as halftime ended which gave them a 20-17 lead.

In the 3rd Quarter the Bengals started to take control of the game, however there was a wild INT by Watt. His INT needs to be in the top 10 INTs of this season. As Burrow threw the ball Watt lifted his arms while falling and his left arm hit the ball and he was able to catch it while falling to the ground. Bengals outscored Steelers 10 -3 in the third. Headed into the 4th quarter the Bengals led 27 – 23. Steelers rookie WR Pickens had some nice catches. IF he stays healthy he will be a force for that team. Bengals defense began to shut down the Steelers offense and the Bengals offense began controlling the ball and draining the clock.

It was a big day for RB Perine as Mixon was unable to return for the 2nd half with a possible concussion. Perine and Mixon go a long way back as they played together in college. It is cool to see they play together in the NFL too. Perine had 3 TDs in this game. WR Irwin also got a TD which is the first of his career!! He should have had one against the Panthers but refs said his both feet were not in bounds….but the were. Glad he got a TD this time !!! Congrats to Irwin!!! Joe Burrow became a 10,000 yard passer and tied Kurt Warner for 3rd fewest games to reach 10,000 passing yards. Mahomes did it in 34 games, Herbert in 35 games and Burrow/Warner 36 games. If Burrow doesn’t hurt his knee in first season I bet he does it faster than any of them. Congrats to Burrow, Perine, and Irwin. McPherson went 3-3 on FG with 54 being his long, and 4 for 4 on extra points.

Steelers fall to 3-7. Browns lost to Bills in a close one but fall to 3-7. Ravens escaped the Panthers with a late TD and are now 7-3. Bengals win puts them at 6-4. Steelers head to Indianapolis to play Colts on Monday night football next week. Browns host Tampa Bay next week. Ravens head to Jacksonville. Bengals face the Titans in Nashville on Sunday at 1:00 PM.

WHO DEY!!!!
