Bengals Ice Bills & Head to AFC Championship

The Bengals walked into the frozen tundra of Highmark Stadium with their white uniforms on with orange helmets and froze the Bills in all phases of the game. From the start of the game to the ending Bengals dominated and roared all across the stadium and to the NFL winning 27-10.

Bengals played with a purpose and were very focused. The offensive line of the Bengals won the battle in the trenches when they were on offense and the defense played sound, fast, and stayed disciplined. Burrow and the offense scored 2 TDs in the first quarter and the Bengals defense shut down Allen and the high octane offense to 8 yards and 0 points in the first quarter. Chase and Hurst each got a TD along with Mixon with a TD. Money Mac went 2 for 2 on field goals in the snow.

The offensive line played very well and they ran the ball effectively. Mixon had 20 carries for 105 yards and a TD along with 2 catches for 18 yards. Perine had 7 carries for 33 yards along with 5 catches for 31 yards. Burrow spread the ball around and picked apart the Bills defense. Joe went 23/36 for 242 yards and 2 TDs along with 6 rushes for 31 yards (*Career High) and only 1 sack for 2 yards.

Bengals defense suffocated the Bills and made it very hard to move up and down the field. Allen went 25/42 for 265 yards with 0 TDs 1 INT and 1 sack for 3 yards. He almost had a fumble but they called it an incomplete pass after a review. Bills running game was kept in check as Allen ran 8 times for 26 yards and 1 TD, Singletary had 6 carries for 24 yards, and Cook 5 carries for 13 yards. To ice the game for good rookie CB Cam Taylor-Britt made a diving interception for his first career interception.

The Bengals now face the Chiefs in Arrow Head Stadium. Patrick Mahomes has a high ankle sprain but he will not be missing this game. Bengals are preparing like he is 100% healthy. A hurt Mahomes with less agility means the Bengals defense will be licking their chops to cause more hits, sacks, and have Mahomes throwing the ball away. The Bengals offense is in good rhythm and some of the offensive lineman starters might be back for this game. It will be a fun matchup this upcoming Sunday at 6:30 PM on CBS!
