Saturday January 15, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. the Bengals faced the Raiders at Paul Brown Stadium to begin the start of the 2022 NFL Playoffs. In week 11 these teams faced one another in Vegas at Raiders where the Bengals won 32 – 13.
This time around for this meeting in the playoffs the stakes are even higher. Both teams know one another since they just played a few weeks ago. Adjustments were made going into this game. Both teams have solid defenses and the question would be which QB could control the game and give themselves a chance to win knowing the defenses would play solid.
Bengals won 26 – 19. Burrow was “Joe Cool” and did his thing as we passed for 24/34 244 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 Int. Mixon had 17 carries for 48 yards and Chase had 3 for 23. Against the Raiders their run defense is solid and their defense against pass is good but beatible. Against them you won’t get break away yardage as they are a good tackeling secondary after the catch. Burrow connected with 5 different receivers. Chase led with 9 receptions 116 yards 12.9 avg; Uzomah had 6 receptions 64 yards 10.7 avg 1 TD; Mixon had 4 receptions 28 yards 7 avg; Boyd had 4 receptions 26 yards 6.5 avg 1 TD; and Higgins had 1 reception 10 yards 10 avg. McPherson went 4/4 on field goals 2/2 extra points.
This Bengals team is a great group of men and have something special occuring. This team can play and score with any team in the leage and they have a defense that will bend but not break attitude. The leadership of Burrow and veteran players are evident. Everyone on the team bought into the scheme and culture of what Coach Taylor wants out of the Bengals and the Bengals are reaping the rewards of hard work and patince these last 2 seasons while Coach Taylor finally has the roster he has wanted.
Bengals travel to Nashville to face the Titans on this upcoming Saturday January 22, 2022 at 4:15 P.M. Bengals get that win they will then play in the AFC Championship game…….They will either face Bills or Chiefs in the AFC Championshiop. For the Super Bowl out of the NFC can be Bucanners, Packers, 49ers, Rams, or Cardinals. How about the Bengals this season end a 34 year drought from playing in the Super Bowl and facing the 49ers whom they faced 34 years prior….this time around it will be a differnet story as no matter whom the Bengals face I believe this team is destined to win the Super Bowl this year!!
Who Dey!!!
